About us
Hiya - we’re Charlie and Tom, the growers of everything here at Big Field Flowers, on the border of West Sussex and East Sussex. All of our flowers are grown in the most sustainable and eco-friendly way possible! We don’t use chemical pesticides or fertilisers and the bulk of compost used is made by us, comprising of a mix of locally sourced woodchip and horse manure (collected from the other half of the “Big Field” we live and grow in!).
Although we moved back to the family farm in 2017 - it was only in 2020, when Covid hit, that we began to grow flowers. During the lockdown, I (Charlie) began working from home, while Tom was furloughed for a couple of months. To make the most of our garden, which was small at the time, we began growing a few tomatoes, dahlias and cosmos and fell in love with gardening - hard! By the end of that summer we took down the hedge which ran alongside our house, and extend our garden into the “Big Field”.
Our flowers are available from April through October - we offer from bouquets, DIY event buckets, wholesale to florists, wedding flowers & farewell flowers. We also attend multiple markets throughout the growing season - check where we’ll be here
Thank you so much for taking the time to visit our website - we’d love to hear from you if you’re interested in buying our lovingly grown and hand-picked flowers!
Thanks, Charlie and Tom
